VGP – The Government has enacted Decree No. 70/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Decree No. 152/2020/ND-CP regulating foreign workers working in Viet Nam.

Below are major takeways from Decree 70:

The Government has just issued Decree 38/2019 / ND-CP on May 9, 2019 stipulating the basic salary for managers, civil servants, officials and armed forces. Accordingly, from 1 July 2019, the basic salary is VND 1,490,000 per month.

Binh Duong People's Committee issued the Decision No. 25/2017/QD-UBND stipulating the minimum area allowed to separate into land plots in Binh Duong province.  This Decision takes effect on October 10, 2017, and replaces Decision No. 38/2014/QD-UBND dated October 22, 2014, of the Binh Duong provincial People's Committee and Directive No.09/CT-UBND dated 28 March 2016 of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee.

On 24 October 2018, the Government issued Decree No. 148/2018/ND-CP amending and supplementing the Government's Decree No. 05/2015/ND-CP dated 12 January 2015 stipulating in details and guiding the implementation of a number of contents of the 2012 Labor Code. One of the amended points of the Decree is the contents related to working time to calculate the severance allowance and job-loss allowance for the employee.

The Supreme People's Court of Vietnam issued Resolution No. 03/2017/NQ-HDTP, announcing the judgment and decision on its Portal, effective from July 1, 2017.
